After 18 years in FE, I returned to Freelance creative projects in 2019. The opportunity to have more say in how I organise my time, to undertake a broader range of roles and participate more in family life, came at just the right time.
I travelled a lot as a child, (raised by hippies!) and as an adult have continued to love change and challenge. Currently working on Arts by the Sea 2020, teaching part time for both myself and the Bishop of Winchester Academy. I look forward to directing a piece for Tall Tails Theatre Company later in the year and undertaking further freelance work.
The chance to draw on years of experience working with Creatives and running multiple events, both within and outside of Education is exciting. My former students are many and work in all sectors of the industry, which affords me a vast range of talented contacts and often the chance to work with them further.
In 2020 the challenges within the Creative Industries are unique, completely unexpected and make the sector more harder to deliver than we ever could have imagined, but we are a vital part of recovery and I will work hard to play my part.
